Cancellation, Refund & Cooling-Off Policy
The following document forms part of your contract with Make Your Life Count and outlines your rights to cancel and how any cancellations will be dealt with in accordance to UK Law within England and Wales
1. Your Right to Cancel – 14-Day Cooling-Off Period
If you purchase a service package, over the phone, or by email, or any other electronic means, you have the right to cancel within 14 days from the date of purchase, as per the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
- If you have not started the service within these 14 days, you are entitled to a full refund in line with the terms below, however last minute cancellations with no intent to move the service may be subject to a reasonable charge.
- If you request to begin services (such as consultations, support, or preparation work) within this period, you waive your right to a full refund. In this case, a reasonable charge will be deducted for the services already provided.
To cancel within the 14-day cooling-off period, please notify me in writing via email at transform@makeyourlifecount.co.uk
2. Cancellation Within 48 Hours of First Session
If you cancel your session less than 48 hours before the scheduled start time, I reserve the right to retain a portion of the package fee. This covers preparation time, admin costs, and lost booking time at my standard hourly rate of £150 per hour.
The following cancellation charges will apply:
- For the 21-Day Coaching Package, the cancellation fee is 25%
- For the 6-Week Transformation Package, the cancellation fee is 30%
- For the 2-Month Coaching Package and above , the cancellation fee is 35%
These charges reflect a genuine pre-estimate of loss and ensure fairness. If you prefer, you may reschedule your session once at no extra cost, provided you notify me at least 48 hours in advance.
3. Refund Requests After Services Have Begun
Once a package has started, refunds are not typically available, except in exceptional circumstances, at my discretion. If you cancel after work has commenced, any refund will be calculated based on:
- The number of sessions delivered
- Any additional support provided (e.g., consultations, WhatsApp support)
- The standard hourly rate of £150 per hour
Refunds are processed within 14 days of cancellation confirmation.
4. Klarna Payment Plans – Financial Responsibility
If you choose to pay for your coaching package using Klarna or any third-party finance provider, you are entering into a separate financial agreement with Klarna.
This means:
Klarna assumes full responsibility for the payment to me, and you are legally responsible for completing all scheduled payments to Klarna under their terms.
Any requests for refunds must be handled in accordance with my refund policy and Klarna’s terms of service.
If a refund is approved, it will be processed via my payment system and will be reflected in your Klarna balance. Any outstanding balance will remain your responsibility to settle directly with Klarna.
I am not responsible for Klarna’s lending decisions, payment disputes, or financial difficulties you may experience in meeting your Klarna payment obligations. If you encounter financial difficulties, you must contact Klarna directly to discuss your options.
By selecting a Klarna payment plan, you confirm that you understand and accept these terms.
5. International Payments and Transaction Fees
If you choose to pay for services using international payment methods, including but not limited to Wise, the following terms apply:
Responsibility for Transaction Fees: You are responsible for all transaction fees, currency conversion fees, and any other charges incurred during the payment process. These fees are added to the service package price which will be in your local currency where possible.
- Payment Amount: Please ensure that the total payment is made and that you understand this price takes into account transaction fees and exchange rates, due to the fluctuation in rates I do reserve the right to change the payment if payment is not made within 7 working days to account for any adjustments.
- Currency and Conversion: All payments should be made in your local currency via Wise Pay unless agreed to pay via a different method.
- Payment Method: All international payments will be made by Wise Pay and a link will be provided to you in your countries currency, where this is not possible then other arrangements will be made.
- Payment
MUST be made 72 hours in advance to ensure monies have cleared before services resume, I reserve the right to delay services until full payment has arrived with me.
- Compliance with Payment Provider Terms: When using third-party payment services like Wise, you must comply with their terms and conditions. Any issues arising from non-compliance are your responsibility.
- Notification of Payment: After initiating an international payment, please notify us via email or Whats App at transform@makeyourlifecount.co.uk or +44 7967049161 with the transaction details to ensure timely processing.
